This week Marc König – Master Trainer and Fitness Model – introduced me to 2 of the best smoothies! OMG Creamy Blueberry Shake & Chocolate Mint Nut Shake!
Marc has a Degree in Exercise Science, is an experienced Personal Trainer and Fitness Model. “Try these smoothies out as your first meal of the day. These 2 shakes are my personal recipes which are nutritionally sound, and packed full of the right combinations of macronutrients and vitamins/minerals. This will sooth and heal your gastrointestinal tract, promote your liver and organs to eliminate any circulating toxins, improve digestion, allow for maximum absorption of nutrients and leave you feeling light and energised. I’ve designed these to provide enough calories in the right combinations to be a sufficient replacement and a sound breakfast. They are also sugar and allergen free!” 😉
In a blender, purée all the ingredients until smooth and creamy, roughly 45 seconds.
Creamy Blueberry Shake
1 1/2 cups shredded coconut
1/2 fresh or frozen organic blueberries
1/4 cup organic almond/cashew butter
1 tablespoon organic coconut cream
1 scoop of vanilla/natural flavored vegetable protein powder (pea, rice, hemp)
2 loosely packed cups of organic spinach and kale (combined)
Stevia to taste
Optional: 1 tablespoon raw apple cider vinegar
Chocolate Mint Nut Shake
1 cup coconut milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons raw cacao powder or carob powder
2 tablespoons nut butter
1-2 tablespoons liquid mint flavoured chlorophyll
1 scoop chocolate/natural flavoured vegetable protein powder (pea, rice, hemp)
Stevia to taste
Optional: 1 tablespoon raw Apple cider vinegar
